We began the Cardiovascular Research Department to provide patients with an opportunity to participate in quality clinical research, to advance the science of medicine and to have a major impact on healthcare delivery. The department, composed of research nurses, coordinators and visiting scholars, combines the expertise and resources of all hospitals to collaborate in research with both cardiothoracic surgery and cardiology.
